Three Heating System Options
Following the assessment, we’ll give you three options for a new heating system:
- Budget-friendly – Will get the job done and meet relevant codes. If you're selling the house or watching every dollar, this makes sense.
- Mid-range – Better efficiency, quieter operation, and longer warranties. This is what most people pick.
- Top-tier – Highest efficiency (96-98%), variable-speed everything, best warranties, and quietest operation. This will cost more upfront, but you’ll save the most on energy costs over time.
Each option includes:
- Equipment specs
- Complete installation scope
- Total price (not “starting at”)
- Permit fees
- Warranty details
We don't hide costs. The price you see is the price you pay. If something changes during the installation (this rarely happens), we’ll cover it.
Installation Day
On your installation day, our team will show up on time and ready to work. The first thing we’ll do is place drop cloths and put on shoe covers. This way, we won’t leave behind any messes or damage.
The next steps include:
- Removing and disposing of your old system (if you’re replacing it)
- Expertly placing and installing your new system
- Connecting gas lines and performing leak tests
- Installing venting (including PVC for high-efficiency units)
- Establishing and securing electrical connections
- Installing/replacing the thermostat
- Connecting and sealing ductwork
We handle all permits and will schedule a city inspection if necessary; you won’t have to deal with any of that.
Generally, we can complete heater installations and replacements in one day. However, bigger jobs may take longer. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you upfront.
Startup & Walkthrough
To finish your project, we’ll make certain your system is operating flawlessly. We’ll check its combustion, gas pressure, airflow, safety controls, thermostat, and other relevant components. Then, we’ll walk you through how to operate your system. We’ll also explain what’s covered under your warranty and how to reach us if something’s off. Finally, we’ll give all the paperwork, from the equipment manual and warranty registration to the permit records, and clean up our work area.
Time and again, customers have praised our efficiency, especially when installing new HVAC equipment. See for yourself by visiting our reviews page.
How Do You Know When to Replace Your Heater?
Nobody wakes up excited to buy a new heater. But at some point, paying for one repair after another stops making sense.
Here’s when we tell people to consider replacement:
- The age question – Gas furnaces will last 15 to 25 years. Wall heaters can stay stronger for longer. Heat pumps will last 15 to 20 years. If your system is pushing those numbers and needing work, you're on borrowed time.
- The repair math – If your system requires repairs that exceed 50% of the cost of a new unit, investing in a replacement is likely the smarter long-term option.
- The efficiency gap – Heaters from the '90s run around 70 to 80% efficiency. New ones hit 95 to 98%. This means upgrading could save you some serious money each month on your energy bill.
- The comfort issue – Dealing with hot spots or cold rooms? Do you feel concerned every time your heater fires up that something’s going to go wrong? With a new system, you can enjoy reliable comfort and peace of mind.
Not sure what to do about your older heater? Let us look at your setup and give you a straight answer. If it makes sense to repair your system, we'll tell you. If replacement is the smarter play, we'll show you why.
